MTV Games and Harmonix Music Systems confirmed the launch of four websites catering to the European Rock Band fan base, in support of the coming release of Rock BandTM3. Rock Band 3 will be released 29 October in Europe and 28 October in Germany for Xbox 360 (MSRP £49.99), PlayStation 3 (MSRP £49.99), Nintendo Wii (MSRP /£39.99) and Nintendo DS (MSRP £24.99).
“The Rock Band community is one of the most vibrant in the world, and we’re pleased to give European Rock Band fans a localised place to go for news, forum postings and ecommerce,” said Roy Campbell, VP of MTV Games International. “We’re really looking forward to hearing from the international community, in their own voices.”

Nintendo is dropping the suggested retail price of its Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL video game systems.
Effective Sept. 12, the new suggested retail price of the Nintendo DSi system will be $149.99, while the new suggested retail price for the Nintendo DSi XL system will be $169.99. The Nintendo DS Lite model will remain at a suggested retail price of $129.99. The Nintendo DS family of video game systems is the best-selling in the history of the U.S. and worldwide. The new prices offer consumers tremendous value for their money while providing access to the best portable video game experiences possible.
“We know shoppers want to get the maximum value out of every dollar they spend,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Our new Nintendo DSi prices make it easier than ever for consumers to access the tremendous variety of games, applications and social tools on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems.”
The Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems offer consumers access to more than 1,300 packaged games and more than 200 downloadable games. Both systems feature two built-in cameras and photo- and sound-manipulation software that provide for a more social experience. Users can wirelessly upload photos to Facebook with the touch of a button (wireless broadband Internet access required). The Nintendo DSi XL system, which features a screen that is 93 percent larger than that of the Nintendo DS Lite, comes pre-loaded with software like Brain Age Express: Math, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Flipnote Studio, Photo Clock and the Nintendo DSi Browser.
Through the end of July, total Nintendo DS family hardware sales are more than 42.3 million in the United States alone, according to the NPD Group. Recent and upcoming software releases for the Nintendo DS family of systems include DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (now available), Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (Sept. 12), Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs (Oct. 4), Art Academy (Oct. 25), Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! (Nov. 14) and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (Nov. 29).

Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that a nine pack of country songs from artists including Eric Church, Jamey Johnson, Lady Antebellum and more will be added next week to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.
With more than 400 artists, including Jimi Hendrix, The Who, AC/DC and Green Day, who are exclusive to Rock Band, as well as more than 1,580 songs available through the Rock Band platform and 70 million songs sold through its download store alone, Rock Band is the undisputed sales and content leader in the interactive music space, providing the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums.
Rock Band DLC additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii
Dierks Bentley signed to Capitol Records Nashville in 2003 and the same year released his self-titled debut album, which was certified platinum, along with his second album, Modern Day Drifter. Its follow-up, Long Trip Alone, was certified gold, and Dierks Bentley released his fourth album, Feel That Fire in February 2009. From these four albums, 14 singles have made it to the country singles charts, and seven of those have reached No. 1, including his debut single, “What Was I Thinkin’,” which will be available in the Rock Band Music Store next week.
Eric Church released his debut album, Sinners Like Me, on Capitol Records in 2006, producing four chart singles on the Billboard country charts. He went on to release his second album, 2009′s Carolina, which includes “Hell on the Heart” which became a Top 10 hit. “Hell on the Heart” will be available for Rock Band next week.
